چکیده

Snake venom, as a natural biotoxin, is widely present in nature and can act coordination with variety of signal regulatory proteins, playing significant role the regulation tumor cell proliferation, metastasis, invasion, angiogenesis. Malignant tumors have long attracted attention medical community leading cause death humans. In this paper, we focus on reviewing progress snake venom apoptosis, angiogenesis cells malignant order to clarify mechanisms by which suppresses provide reference for study tumors.

A Review and Database of Snake Venom Proteomes

Advances in the last decade combining transcriptomics with established proteomics methods have made possible rapid identification and quantification of protein families in snake venoms. Although over 100 studies have been published, the value of this information is increased when it is collated, allowing rapid assimilation and evaluation of evolutionary trends, geographical variation, and possi...

Inflammatory effects of snake venom metalloproteinases.

Metalloproteinases are abundant enzymes in crotaline and viperine snake venoms. They are relevant in the pathophysiology of envenomation, being responsible for local and systemic hemorrhage frequently observed in the victims. Snake venom metalloproteinases (SVMP) are zinc-dependent enzymes of varying molecular weights having multidomain organization. Some SVMP comprise only the proteinase domai...

Review Studies on sea snake venom

Erabutoxins a and b are neurotoxins isolated from venom of a sea snake Laticauda semifasciata (erabu-umihebi). Amino acid sequences of the toxins indicated that the toxins are members of a superfamily consisting of short and long neurotoxins and cytotoxins found in sea snakes and terrestrial snakes. The short neurotoxins to which erabutoxins belong act by blocking the nicotinic acetylcholine re...
